BIG niche
If there were a segment of the market
that globally controlled 20 trillion in consumer spending and one,
which the Harvard Business Review reported to now be driving the
world economy, would you make them a priority? Seem silly not to
and yet many brands do not have a robust strategy when it comes to
the female consumer.
You also can't assume that this
powerhouse of purchasing is restricted to traditional female
products. Instead they are buying in segments previously thought as
male bastions. In the USA women account for 80% of all consumer
purchases, the break down across market segments look like
this:

- 92% of Holidays
- 80% of Healthcare
- 65% of New Cars

Based on these numbers and current
strategies many companies should be concerned. But what an amazing

customers. They weigh up nine times as many factors as their male
counterpart before making a purchase and demand more from products,
